Kvernufoss is only about 2 kilometres from the well known Skogafoss. However, only few visitors get lost to this very beautiful waterfall, where you can walk around the thundering water from behind, similar to Seljalandsfoss. You can park in the car park of the museum and then you have to walk about one kilometre to reach this great spot. But don’t forget to pay the parking fee at the ticket office of the museum – otherwise your car might be towed away. If you have enough time, you should of course also visit the museum. This is definitely worth it and a good alternative in bad weather.
